Resource related actions which the SlotManager can perform.

void	releaseResource(InstanceID instanceId, Exception cause) Releases the resource with the given instance id.

Method Detail

releaseResource

void releaseResource(InstanceID instanceId,
                     Exception cause)

Releases the resource with the given instance id.

Parameters:

instanceId - identifying which resource to release

cause - why the resource is released

allocateResource

void allocateResource(ResourceProfile resourceProfile)
               throws ResourceManagerException

Requests to allocate a resource with the given ResourceProfile.

Parameters:

resourceProfile - for the to be allocated resource

Throws:

ResourceManagerException - if the resource cannot be allocated

notifyAllocationFailure

void notifyAllocationFailure(org.apache.flink.api.common.JobID jobId,
                             AllocationID allocationId,
                             Exception cause)

Notifies that an allocation failure has occurred.

Parameters:

jobId - to which the allocation belonged

allocationId - identifying the failed allocation

cause - of the allocation failure
